The 1851 England Census

The British Government took the 1851 Census on the 30th of March 1851. This page summarises, on a household basis, all of the Inkson information from the 1851 records for England that has been found to date.

The 1851 Census was was more complex than that in 1841 : the relationship to the head of household is shown, there is a column for 'condition' [single, married, widowed] and the where born question required a full answer. There was also a column for noting when a person was blind or deaf and dumb.
