William INKSON b. ABT 1756 Kings Lynn, Norfolk

William was the first child of George Inkson [b. ABT 1735] and Alice, his first wife. He would have been about 16 years old when his father married Margaret, his second wife, and started another family. The result was that some of William's children were more or less the same age as some of their step-aunts and, in the end, William's son George was married in 1804, just three years after Thomas, his father's step-brother and hence his step-uncle, was married.

In addition to the children listed on these pages, ancestry.com [FHL film #1471576, item 2] notes the death of an Elisabeth Inkson, daughter of William and Elizabeth, in 1792 [buried 19 May 1792] but there is no image of a supporting parish record and no suitable baptism record.
