Mary Cozens née Inkson b. 1770 Kings Lynn, Norfolk
A Mary Inkson married a Thomas Cozens at St Margaret's, Kings Lynn in 1794. The first known Mary Inksons were born in 1704 and 1713 respectively and are assumed not to be this Mary. There were another two Mary Inksons born later in the 18th, one in 1770 and the other in 1784. As the younger would have only been 10 years old at the time of the marriage it is presumed that it was Mary Inkson b. 1770 that married Thomas. That is reinforced by the probate record of George Inkson b. 1761 - the step-brother of Mary Inkson b. 1770 - who left part of his estate to his other step-sisters Sarah and Susanna and part to 'Mary, daughter of Thomas Cozens' : the first child of this 1794 marriage was Mary.
The children on these pages are listed on the basis of being the son or daughter of Thomas and Mary Cozens in the Kings Lynn parish records. There was another couple called Thomas and Mary Cozens in Norfolk at this time but they and their children's' baptisms are all recorded in Great Yarmouth so discounted here.
