This is the third iteration of this section on the family in England. It has been expanded to include both the 17th and 18th centuries. Progress has been made in tying together what was a somewhat chaotic list of data into coherent data with tentative trees [and associated family group pages] for Thomas b. ABT 1683 and George b. ABT 1710 added to that of George b. ABT 1735 which was posted previously. The raw data list has also been given its own page and will be updated shortly with what little 17th century we have.
At the time of writing - late November 2020 - the information is all Norfolk-centric despite the raw data having some other locations coming up. Unlike the generations after George b. ABT 1735, we do not yet have clear connections between the early generations and that will become worse as we add other families to the list. The uncertainties are discussed on the relevant pages, often on the notes for individuals on the family group pages but the key question is the parentage of George b. ABT 1710, the father of George b. ABT 1735.
We have now developed a slideshow which explores the Norfolk Inksons during this period of our history. It works as if it was a PowerPoint presentation and hopefully simplifies some of the complexities. It can be selected from the menu below.
