There was at least one Inkson family in Kings Lynn, Norfolk at the end of the 18th century as four or possibly five Inkson marriages are reported there by the IGI for the period from 1801 to 1806. They all took place in St Nicholas church and involved at least two Inkson men and two Inkson women. The third man is recorded as an 'Inson' without the 'k'. Were they siblings or was there more than one Inkson family in the town at the time? Was Thomas 'Inson' an Inkson or not?
The first of the marriages was Thomas I...'s marriage to Ann Harborow and we believe that Ann herself and at least four of the children appear - with their own families - in the English census records. We also know quite a bit about George I...'s family from his marriage to Mary Turnbull. However, some of the work in this section is conjecture and should be taken with care. Can you help in any way? We would love to hear from you.
Another strange record is that a Mary Ann Inkson was baptised In St Margaret's church on July 30 1810, a daughter to John and Jane I... but there are no other UK records to be found for John and Jane I... although they must have been married in broadly in this same time period.
