Sydney William HELSDON b. 27 Feb 1885

Sydney William was the first son of Henry William Helsdon and his wife Martha Harriett née Inkson, so a descendent of the 1801 Inkson - Harborow marriage through William and then Thomas Harborow Inkson. There is no a baptism record for him but his date of birth is available from the 1939 England Register. Sydney William seems to have taken over from his father as the butcher in Thornham.

In 1915 he married Lily Rush in her parish church in South Creake, a village 15 km south east of Thornham. They are known to have had one child, a daughter.
