Doris Marjorie Cardell née Helsdon b. 6 May 1899 Thornham, Norfolk

Doris Marjorie was a child of Henry William Helsdon and his wife Martha Harriett née Inkson, so a descendent of the 1801 Inkson - Harborow marriage through William and then Thomas Harborow Inkson. There is a baptism record with the date of birth given. The date is also available from the 1939 England Register.

She married Leonard S CARDELL, at that time a commercial traveller from Cardiff, on 6 Sep 1920 in Thornham parish church. They are known to have had one child, a son. He was an observer in RAF Blenheim bombers and was shot down and killed in 1941 over the Belgiium/Holland border. His remains are buried in Holland.
